In 1933, Manuel Campbell founded a mattress company based on building a better mattress. Decades later the owners and employees are still committed to this philosophy.
Norman Wood purchased the company in the early 1970s and Campbell Mattress Company has remained a family business, following Norman's death in 2011. Our facility has always remained in Cape Girardeau, a historic region of Southeastern Missouri on the Mississippi River, and our values also remain unchanged. Our goal then and now is to design and produce sleep sets that are the very finest available to our retailers and consumers.
We do this by handcrafting products with quality materials, including native hardwoods, recycled, enhanced cotton blends, and plant-based gels and foams. The most valuable component we put into our bedding is the expertise and commitment of our employees, many having been with us for decades. By implementing their ideas, we continue to reduce costs that we pass onto our customers, while improving our products. When you choose Campbell, you are choosing the best service and bedding the industry has to offer. We appreciate your choosing Campbell, where it’s not just a mattress—it’s our passion!
We are proud to be featured in the November '12 issue of Bed Times Magazine, the business journal for the sleep products industry.
